Throughout this course, I studied the importance of designing instruction based on the needs of diverse learners and how technology can be used to meet those needs. After studying Universal Design for Learning and Understanding by Design, I used wikispaces to create a UDL presentation along with a graphic organizer handout, supplemental resources, and an assessment activity. http://tharrelludlpresentation.wikispaces.com/home
I also applied what I learned about UDL and Differentiated Instruction in creating a 3rd grade fractions unit. This unit consists of four performance tasks with formative and summative assessments and rubrics, applying the use technology to diversify learning.
